- a 9-day outdoor youth exchange for youth aged 15-25 which took place in Hungary, in April 2013
- Participants from 5 different countries: Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovakia
- Goal: to strengthen the feeling of active social responsibility and participation through environmentally aware and sustainable behaviours.
About the program
The program was
divided into two parts. First one focused on theoretical background
and gaining enlarged information regarding to the environment, waste/plastic, agriculture/food, alternative options
for life and sharing own practices by watching films.
After every film, there was a discussion to certain topic. For us, as
participants, it was great opportunity to gather more information, share some
tips about certain theme and try to link movies with our own lives. It
certainly underlined our environmental awareness. The second part used the
tools of experiential education, by actively involving the participants,
creating situations which help to understand our responsibility and capability
for change and also give own experience. Through fun we had a chance to learn
how to make organic soap, how to overcome challenges (high ropes activities) and how to create our common action plan, which was
successfully realized in the local village. After this programme, we are open to
work on a common action plan and make it come true in our own country or local
community. So let´s do it!!!
